If what matters in life varies from indivisual to indivisual,
then what maters in life is subjective. If everything in life is subjective,
then what is truth?
In this life, belief is stronger than truth. People may label their beliefs
"the truth", but the truth is, there is no one truth. If there are so many
truths, then what is really true?
There is no such thing as truth; there's just belief.

even our beliefs change over time,
so what really is anything?

Isn't this a self-negating statement? What I mean is, if it is true that there is no such thing is true, your statement is untrue.
EXACTLY. That statement is merely what I believe;
proving my point.

The duct tape. I used to take days of silence, about one per week. I liked it, but it made other people crazy. They would think I was a deaf/mute and try to sign to me if they knew sign language. I didn't know sign language, and NOT speaking was the point anyway.
I merely believe that there is no such thing as truth. There seems to be a contradiction to everything. .
And yes, I am very aware of the purpose of
the day of silence. Being that I attend an art school,
the meaning is very well known and appreciated..
Hmm, I must say I think it is true that I exist, otherwise who or what is pondering this question. Ok, everything else might be rubbish, that I am writing this, that my eyes are blue, that gravity exists. But surely in some way shape or form, I exist?
well... Sometimes I think that we exist only to an extent. One day we'll be gone. And who really knows if we really even esist in the first place? This could all be a dream (and there are a thousand other possibiliteies). We dont exactly KNOW if we exist or not. We think we know that we exist.
